Quality Characteristics of 2nd cutting
1. Leafy with soft stem and adequate flower heads.
2. Easy and enjoyable for pets to eat while providing sufficient fiber.
3. The texture and fiber is in between 1st cutting and 3rd cutting, many people consider 2nd cutting to be the best of both worlds, which is why this has been the most popular hay we sell.
This years 2nd cutting is very nice and leafy. Actually it is somewhat leafier than last years 2nd cutting, with a slightly darker green color. The hay has minimal brown. We were very fortunate to get this hay and we're confident it will be our best seller again this year!
